2025 Australian Open: prize money and entry fees
With the Australian Open’s ongoing growth year-on-year, being both the biggest and richest bowls event in the world, both the prize-money purse and entry fees will increase for the 2025 event.
A total of $314,240 will sit in the 2025 prize pool, an increase of more than $31,640 from 2024 alone.
Each event’s entry fee will increase slightly compared to the 2024 edition, but with added impetus as each singles winner will now receive $15,000.
This marks just the second entry increase in seven years, over which time prize money has increased by more than $64,000, and contributes towards the elevated prize pool and covering rising costs associated with the operation of the event.
The 2025 edition marks the 10th staging on the Gold Coast, Queensland, after relocating in 2015, during which time more than $2,327,000 in prize money has been distributed to participants.
Entries for the 2025 Australian Open will be accepted from 11am AEDT on Friday, December 13 2024 – be sure to get your entry in early to avoid any disappointment of missing out.
Entries will close at 11.59pm AEDT on Thursday, April 3 2025, if not before, due to entry capacity being reached.
