First up from June 5 to June 6, the club will host the Blue Opal Singles, which is according to club coordinator Ryan Bester, is “the best singles field” he’s ever seen.

The likes of 2018 Commonwealth Games singles gold medalist Aaron Wilson, Alex Marshall, Jeremy Henry, Aron Sherriff and of course Bester will be involved in the event, a $1000 pay-to-play entry fee with a $20,000 first prize.

If you’ve settled in early on the Gold Coast ahead of the Australian Open, be sure to make your way down to Broadbeach some outstanding singles match-ups.

Rounding out the week will be the Blue Diamond 3-Bowl Pairs from June 7 to June 8, concluding right on the eve of the Australian Open.

With another bumper prize-pool of $15,000, some of the finest pairings in world bowls will be on display including Bester and Wilson, with the two to play together after only squaring off in the Commonwealth Games singles final just a few months previous.
