An amazing show of bowls from two young stars saw Fitzroy Victoria’s young star Tiffany Brodie claim her second Australian Open title of the day in the Under 18 Girls’ Singles, defeating Tweed Heads’ Jessica Srisamruaybai in a pulsating match 21-19.

After taking a 10-1 lead early in the match, Brodie saw her lead whittled away by young Jessica as the two went neck and neck until Brodie claimed the last end to win the $1,500 title. Tiffany was helped by her coach, former Australian Open champion and Jackaroo Aaron Wilson.

In what can only be described as a marathon day, Brodie was a part of the winning Women’s Fours rink skipped by Chloe Stewart, before backing up to win the quarter final, semi final and final of the Under 18 Girls’ Singles.

This amazing glimpse into the future of Australian bowls will be shown on The Bowls Show in future weeks, so this is not one to miss.

Tomorrow sees the final of the Under 18 Boys’ Singles final, with a marquee matchup against decorated juniors  Jono Davis (Dubbo Railway, NSW) and Josh Studham (Holdfast Bay, SA) tomorrow at around 11:00am following the Men’s Fours final.
